Mustang Discovery Technology Applications 11/14/2011
 As part of the 6th Grade rotation course at Canyon Vista known as Mustang Discovery, 6th grade students have the opportunity to take Technology Applications. In this 12 week course, students are educated in Cybersmarts, Cyberbullying Awareness, Web Browsing Basics, Computer Fundamentals, Keyboarding Instruction, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher, and Introduction to Multimedia applications. This fast-paced course of instruction is made possible through the use of learning.com, which provided lessons and activities that are aligned with the TEKS and are age-appropriate and user-friendly.  While only in its second year of implementation, Mr. Costello looks forward to the day when other teachers can assign technology-rich lessons and not have to sacrifice time from their curriculum to provide basic instruction on the technology tools available to our schools.
